AFAS stadium tours - 12th of September

We also organize two AFAS stadium tours. Get to know more about the football club AZ and about the sustainability plans of the organization. 

The AFAS Stadium was officially opened on 4 August 2006. The roof of the AFAS Stadium has 1,725 solar panels with which football club AZ can generate clean and sustainable energy. The solar panels generate 250,000 kWh annually, comparable to the consumption of 125 households in Alkmaar. The project delivers a saving of 142 tons of CO2 emissions.

Opening of the NEXTGENP2H2 project, the first Dutch 50 KW PEM electrolyzer and visiting one the labs.

In collaboration with Hydron Energy and Frames, ECN.TNO carries out extensive tests in the NEXTGENP2H2 project on a 50kW PEM electrolyzer system for the production of hydrogen from renewable electricity with the aim of realizing further cost reductions and extending the system to 1 MW.
